accidently i had used the recovery/backup cd came with my computer and it returned c like i bought it , the d windows files still in d but it does not show at start of computer
and donnot know how to use it
the c window now getting me nuts i put the windows cd in drive to reinstall d windows to escape resort but i got the ntdll.dll error . what is easy thing to do
i hope my story was not too long
So, if i read this right, you had a WinXP installation on C: and another WinXP installation on D:, then you ran your Restore Disk on C: and now you can't load your D: WinXP even though you can see the files are still there?
It sounds like your Boot Loader was on C: and your Restore Disk disabled it.
Have you tried reinstalling your Boot Loader ?
no i donnot know about boot leader how to do that thanks
If you want to boot from your D drive you can set your second hard drive as the first boot device in bios; the C: drive is called hdd0 and the D: drive is hdd1. Set it to hdd1. The boot loader is merely a convenience to save time and make it easier.
i want to keep like it was before when i start the pc it gives u choice which of the two windows to use thank u
